Hello all, I need a bit of assistance with our new Miele W1.

In my previous thread, we've had an engineer out to see to some 'issues'.
The vibration was caused by the lack of a locking ring on one of the back feet it's smooth and quiet now.

The Twindos was blocked, so he cleaned it out. He tested it and apparently it worked. However I have my doubts which is why I need some advice from Twindos owners.

Is it normal to see suds or not with Ultraphase 1? I don't see any suds at all.
What noise is the dispenser supposed to make? When dispensing U1 ours makes a click.

Think we might need the engineer out again. It's a good machine but feeling a bit disheartened.

Hello Adam,

I do own a wkh121wps machine with twindos and powerwash 2.0. You do see some suds when using the twindos system. I'm in a soft water area and some suds are present during the wash but I wouldn't say they was massively visible. I don't hear the machine dispense the liquids at all. I'm under the understanding that the twindos pumps in to the tub before the initial sump fill continues to fill then progresses to the powerwash distribution stages. How many times have you used the system it might just need a few washes to prime the system and get the liquids in the pipes? Just an idea ? Run the machine and if you don't feel that its working correctly get an engineer back out.
Don't be disheartened there brilliant machines and the twindos detergent is very good too ! Detergent and bleach dispensed at the correct times gives a flawless wash.
Hope this helps?

Hello James, the engineer did mention to my Dad something about priming but forgot to show him how it was done! I observed a bit more of a cycle, and I think U2 is being dispensed, as I could see some bubbles in the latter stage, and also the clothes have a faint fragrance, not just of water. Not of U1 though, that stuff is quite strong smelling.

Will persevere, and maybe email Miele to see what they say.
Loving your laundry room set up by the way!

Twindos system

Hello Adam,

The machine primes its self the more the twindos is used I would of thought by 2 or 3 washes the system will be primed and delivering the correct amount of detergent. You can check its set to the correct levels by following the page I've posted before if you haven't already done your self? You definitely see more bubbles when the ultraphase 2 (hydrogen peroxide) has been added when doing white washes. Only because your clothes smell faintly of deturgent doesn't mean that not enough deturgent haven't been delivered it could be that the machine is fairly good at rinsing out the deturgent. I don't use softener and my clothes do faintly smell of the twindos deturgent.
I love my laundry room area I've got shelfs full of deturgents, stuff I've used once and then I give it to friends and family 😂

James
