Hello there everyone! Yes the spinner belt has given up the ghost.
Can you buy and replace these belts, it had a new belt on the washer tub before I bought it, but the spinner looks a bit more intricate to fix.
Any advice would be great. Kind Regards Rebecca.

Hello up there Washaholic!

I guess you must have run into a couple of websites that are describing the part as either obsolete or out of stock, but here's one website at least up in your part of the world that appears to still have them available:

www.tdspares.co.uk/product/hoover...

If I can track down an existing thread that deals with replacing them, I'll post a link to it.

Good Luck with it,
WishyWashy

Okie-Dokie Washaholic, here's a thread that I started myself some time back that sort-of deals with the issue:

www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/T...

I tend to waffle on a bit in the thread, but am guided back to the straight and narrow by another Aussie forumite named Gizmo. I thought the thread might be useful to you, however, because it not only deals with the method of replacing the Spin Belt, but also with the issue of centring the Spin Can within the Spin Tub - especially in the circumstances of reversing the rubber Pulley Mounting, which you might want to do because it is probably deformed in your machine by now due to years of being pulled to one side by tension in the Spin Belt.

Good Luck with it!

Spinner belt update

I have removed the spinner belt, and my partner has said it's the pump belt, which makes sense, as I still have water in the bottom of both the spinner can and wash tub. The belt located underneath which runs the spinner seems fine, but this has to be removed before we can put the new one on. I've looked at td spares but the image that is supplied with the spinner belt, does not look the same, this must be the spinner belt not the pump belt. I will have another search. Also I'm going to look on ebay. But if anyone has got on that would be wonderful. Kind Regards Rebecca.
