Do we have a professional repair tech in the SF to San Jose area, knowledgeable and sympathetic about Hobart and early successor dishwashers?

Hoping you are out there....
Kate

Is it the 22 or the 23, Kate?

The 23 is in place, but needs an upper rack without exposed rusty side edge... unless there is perhaps a way to clean and seal it back up.

Otherwise, the KUDS 22 is available to be tested and installed... was theoretically AOK.

Main problem with local techs is non-appreciation of these vintage gems.

I recently replaced an actuator on my first generation In-sink-erator supreme dishwasher by a local mom and pop appliance repair company called Lee's Appliances based in Brisbane, CA. Lee only repairs stoves and dishwashers. Last year I had him replace an ignitor on my 1980 Magic Chef Built-in gas oven. He's an old time repair guy and full of information especially if you are in the market for new trouble prone appliances that he has repaired. I need to warn you that Lee's Appliances is not cheap but good and quick.

Did we determine that a 23 top rack can't be switched with one from a 22?

Thank you for the suggestion of Lee's in Brisbane... sounds like a winner.

Combo52 said the 22 rack is not compatible with the 23 rails, but no one has mentioned the 24. Would that have been similar to the 23? I don't happen to have one of those, though.

Thanks to all....
Kate
