That is a Philco Automagic with "high frequency agitation."

Welcome to the Club!

WP bought "nutation" technology rights from the Avco/Bendix/Philco corporate lineage to bring "flopulation" to the Cabrio.

Re Cabrio

A Cabrio just WISHED it could was as good as a Philco!! This thing started out a a Bendix Power Surge, Philco bought Bendix and got the design.Only one problem, these tied clothes in a knot!!! But as I always have said, if the clothes are tangled, you can be sure they have been really washed.

There is/was a Cabrio that nutated?  What's the model number?  I'd like to see the parts diagrams on that one.   ;-)

Sorry, Calypso

It was the Calypso's wash plate that nutated.

Thanks, Glenn.

The "Collapse-o" does a good job of cleaning everything but a bulky comforter. The same queen-size comforter I regularly washed in my 806 without a problem had a hole rubbed into it by the center-hub of my Collapse-o.

I would rather have a solid-tub Philco just for the novelty. Surprisingly, quite a few have survived although the Flapalator is sometimes worn down to a nub. I've had numerous opportunities to get one, however, there are two collectors near me that have them anytime I want to use one.

Asadech, which of those machines you showed is your favorite?

don't let that Calypso Wash Motion fool you....

I dare you to drop a whole roll of paper towels, piece by piece, into any other machine.....and not shred one piece!
