Wow!!! Although I have only seen this particular washing machine once in a junkyard too battered to be restored, it is probably the most impressive looking Kevinator ever made. It had a very different timer dial and was quite unusual looking, puts me in mind of the timeline dials Norge used then. I have always loved the way Kelvinator washed clothes and the show it put on through the glass lid. It didn't hold a very big load of clothes, but what it did hold was certainly clean, rinsed well and spun out about as well as any other machine from that era. And you got the entertainment of watching it perform while cleaning your clothes. Kevinator/ABC/Leonard is my all time favorite of vintage automatic washers. The dryers worked quite well too.

I am amused by the section of the ad that crows about water savings.
One of the reasons these machines washed so well is because they were huge water-hogs.
"Uses up to 50% less water" (in the fine fabric cycle).😉

Wagering that the woman in the picture with her two kids drove a Matador Station Wagon. She has the look to be all about AMC

LOL!

Would have loved to been around when those machines were popular. Have only seen one in person.
