My brother-in-law's mother had a '57 SQ, but I only recall being there when it was running once or twice. My sister lived in an apt. building with a classic (probably) mid-to-late 1960's commercial, solid tub model; the one that makes an appearance in the POD occasionally. I was surprised that the motor (and pump?) ran during fills. Was always underwhelmed with the agitation of that washer; it certainly didn't turn a load over as efficiently as our Kenmore. I think the new SQ's have more effective agitation. | ||
