The machine you are looking at has the correct agitator in it. This was about the best agitator that GE ever used in an automatic washer.
This washer may be savable depending what the rest of it looks like. The balance ring that is part of the inner basket would sometimes rust out if water got inside it. These balance rings were filled with iron fillings which added ballast to the wash basket, you can see the loose black fillings in the bottom of the basket in the picture. At the very least you need another inner basket to fix this machine. |

I didn't mention that I don't have a picture of the inside of this washer that's why I was asking which agitater it has in it or which would be the correct agitator. The washer with the balance ring rusted out is a copertone brown machine, just a picture I found, it's not the washer I was inquiring about. -thanks Doug
