basically its only worth what someone is willing to pay in most cases.....
25.00 is about average for something in good shape, and a good starting point for most.....considering its non functional, expect less.... plus you have to consider parts availability.... most times, scrap value is around 3.00+/- for a full size automatic.... |

Well spotted there Nige, I noticed the similarity myself although the agitator is different and the US version would not have had a heater.
Guy If you look at reply 3 in the attachment you will see the two top mounted controls at either side of the wash tub. It was interesting to see that Vactric had picked up, or rather adapted the Apex design, I could never understand how such a small company could have designed such a machine, this makes a lot more sense. These could not have been around for long as Vactric went out of business in very early 1960. As I note in the link, Vactric had pre WW2 links with Apex Another UK company, Bylock, manufactured vacuums based on the Apex canister design from around 1950 until 1958 or so. Bylock were fundamentally a motor manufacturer and were bought out by Rolls Razor (as in Rolls twin tubs) in 1963 only to go out of business the following year when Rolls went bust. Al |
