Question....How would I post an audio file of a Westinghouse dryer playing "how dry I am"? Thought that would be something cool to have on the website. Also I've gotten a few e-mails about some of the other machines that were in the outbuilding with Robert's now infamous Apex. I will make a list of what there is if anyone is interested.

Thanks,
John

That would really be neat John, hope that you can do it. Terry

Hi John, if you can email me the file, I can put it up on our web server and add a permenant link under the Audio Downloads section. Thanks, that would be fun.

I heard the "How dry I am" signal for the first time just a couple of weeks ago - it's very fun!

Are there any other...

interesting buzzers, tunes, audio or visual signals from machines? My favorite is still my mom's late 50s Whirlpool with the lid that flipped up with the all done buzzer. Used to scare me as a kid.

I was bummed to get a vintage Westinghouse dryer that LOOKED like the "How Dry I Am" model, only to find it was just a ho-hum ring model. It's still a cool dryer though.

I used to have a Hotpoint range with a roat meter (or meat tender or roast-o-matic or something) that played a little song when the meat was done. I've been told it was "smoke gets in your eyes", but it didn't sound like it.
