My new back up set. I had amassed 3 other sets in the garage, but those units are all with new owners now. Two of the pairs had gas dryers (we have electric outlets only) ,and the third pair was a snazzy TOL GE 'Right Height' set i sold for a solid profit to afford the BMW motorcycle. So what about this odd couple? The dryer is the classic top filter design and sports a nice windowed door. The LG washer apparently works but needs a lot of cleaning. I snagged them both for $100 total so i am not expecting the moon. This post was last edited 07/15/2017 at 20:43 |

Can't beat that price! I like those LG washers and I have a similar (but gas and higher up model) dryer. Really like the dryer and use it every week. The one thing I find odd about the dryer is the drum (that rotates) is rather shallow. There's a fixed 5-6" wide area inside the dryer door that clothes "tumble" on, but it does rotate. As for cleaning the LG, you may also want to consider running it empty, normal cycle/heavy soil/water plus with the hottest water you can (W/heater if it has it) and a couple heaping tablespoons of citric acid (but no bleach). As I recall this does a better job "cleaning", while the bleach is better at disinfecting. Kevin |
