Hello, that G E is certainly made by Hotpoint UK. Any chance of some more detailed shots of the controls and drawer? :D

Looks interesting!

Cool machines. Are you a second hand dealer of appliances?

This whole time I've assumed that GE Appliances only marketed in North America, and then I see this. I'm shocked! I never thought GE had any involvement in appliances outside North America, even if it was just licensing the name.

I've also wondered about UK Hotpoint and USA Hotpoint, but there's no relation. Kind of like how Kmart US and Kmart Australia are not related beyond the name.

Pretty interesting!

Having looked at these photos of the GE, I see absolutely nothing that screams "Hotpoint UK!"

The Zerowatt fascia reminds me of the old Candy Aquaviva control panel (they are part of the same group).

@Rolls_rapide i think its hotpoint! The door and the drum are like Hotpoint! @superocd GE sold washing machines and other appliances in Europe.I found washers made by Brandt,Hotpoint.Ill post later another GE washing machine which was sold here and its my favorite washing machine!

Maybe it's an Indesit-Ariston-Hotpoint instead?

its based on the WM6X ''Vouge'' series. Same tub, door bowl, interlock latch plate, have seen enough of them to be sure of it.

My favorite washer! It was as GE and Pitsos (greek name of constructa) I know that the built was made by brandt but the programmer i dont from what brand was made.It has 4 knobs 1)programmer 2)temperature 3)kg selector 4)spin speed. Some zerowatt models made by Candy had the kg selector knob.I cant find another washing machine with that.If you know something about this washer tell me!

Ah, I see. Sorry.

For some reason, I had completely forgotten about that range. I kept thinking about the older 9000 series with the brown trim. Must be senility setting in.

Kuppersbusch

reversomatic's profile picture
Hi,i think the Kuppersbusch was manufactred by Domar in spain and was sold in the U.K. as a New Pol. I had the misfotune to have to repair many New Pols back in the late 80s.Im surprised to see Kuppersbusch put their name on sutch a low end machine as in the U.K. Kuppersbusch is seen as a premium brand. Thanks for sharing i like seeing machines from other countries.Regards Nigel.

The Küppersbusch T602 (Reply# 27) looks interesting. Totally different from the one in Reply# 28. The one in # 28 looks more like a Pitsos.

BTW, Constructa is just a label, not a company. The Constructa label is owned by Bosch-Siemens Hausgeräte.

@foraloysius i know about Constructa!Pitsos wasnt just a label!Pitsos was a greek manufactorer but now belongs to Bosch-Siemens.Now iam thinking if i should replace my 16years old Bosch with a Pitsos.

Kuppersbusch here is famous for kitchen appliances.Ovens are perfect!
The Kuppersbusch T602 its interesting and i think its made by Antonio Merloni.

The kuppesbusch #28 its a Candy made as Pitsos#23!

Do you have a Bosch toploader? The new Pitsos toploader is an Indesit design, just like other modern BSH toploaders.

Küppersbusch used to be a very reliable brand, IIRC they used AEG appliances in the past. The dishwashers they nowadays sell look like BSH dishwashers, but I'm not sure. Küppersbusch is not sold in the Netherlands.

I have never used a WOH-1000 or similar model. Did it spin between the rinses?

Post# 962103 , Reply# 35   10/12/2017 at 09:19 (2,558 days old) by GRWasher_expert (Athens)

Yeah,It spun between the rinses when using programs A,B,C,D which were meant for cottons(Koch/Buntwäsche).Final spin (F) was at 1000 rpm.The rest washing programmes( weren't spinning between rinses. They only had a final spin and they also had a rinse and hold option(Spülstop).Programs G,H,J,K for synthetics(Pflegeleicht) had their final spin on program L at 800 rpm, and program N for woolens (Wolle) had its final spin on program S at 600 rpm.

Thanks! That was better than the previous series. Those didn't spin between the rinses in the cottons programme, the reason why a lot of people complained about their rinsing ability.

Yes, it's the most basic Thomson I have ever seen. Here's a scan of a page of a brochure from the 1980's IIRC. These must be a bit older than the machine in your picture, but you can see the familiarity.

Very nice machines, I like the Brandt frontloader made by SanGiorgio.

The Thomson looks like an S30-55, very simple machine, so simple as the on/off switch is door safety switch !

Brandt Statomatic BX541GR, looks like an export model since it has symbols instead of French writings, maybe the GR in the model number stands for Greece.
