I am buying an early 90's Kitchenaid KPDI620T6 (FB1901091 Serial #) Dishwasher from a lady in Alabama on wednesday night...... I'll post the craigslist pictures here.... I'm giving her $80 for it, and im driving 350 miles to get it because EVERY SINGLE PORTABLE around here is old and beat up or they want alot of money for it... This looks very clean and in almost new shape...

Is this the last of the Hobart based dishwashers?? Does it have an enamel tub?? Can you reverse the panels for either almond or all black??

I know very little about these Kitchenaids, but I want something older with knobs and something that has better racks and can dry plastic better than my 2011 Whirlpool portable...

Any info helps.... My current dishwasher is ok as is, but i want something better... Better racks and better quality feeling... I am hoping this kitchenaid will last.. I run it MAYBE 1x a week if im lucky. Single and mostly wash cups and bowls....

Thanks

Definitely Porcelain Tub.

Not sure if it's true Hobart as I lost interest after the 20 series.

This is the last of the Hobart designed portable DWs, although it was built under Whirlpools ownership of the Kitchen-aid brand in the 19th week of 1992.

This DW will differently have a nice heavy feel to it that NO OTHER DW ever had, As I don't know exactly which 2011 WP portable DW you have now it is hard to make performance comparisons but you may be pleased with the KA it really depends how you use the machine.

I think you got a good DW for a good price, let us know how it works out.

I have the Tall Tub Portable Version.. its nice, it cleans well... just the racks are awful and bend easily...

Good, i think this will work well then
