The Lowe's in South Philly has this on display:

LG FL washer on a sidekick pedestal washer, topped off with a dryer. I am 5'10" and couldn't reach all the dryer controls standing on my toes!

This must be a mistake, right?

Could be a mistake. I am betting they were just stacked this way for store floor space.

Then again, Andre-The Giant may be in the market for a washer never know.

That's ok, just get a step stool.

Doesn't look ok with the dryer standing loose on top of those two washers. Too much vibration and the dryer could slide off. With two washers below, the risk looks bigger to me than with just one washer.

I would say, grab the dryer and give it a shake....doesn't seem too sturdy...

then again, that's a law suit waiting to happen!

impressed that little sidekick can handle the weight of both....

As far as I know, pedestals aren't even supposed to have a washer AND dryer stacked on them.

To make this worse, LG dryers have a water reservoir for steam in the drawer on the control panel. Mine are stacked and that thing is already a pain as is. Can't wait to have them side by side when my lease is up.

Perhaps the implication is that they are "head and shoulders above the rest". God, I slay me.

It would probably get my attention as i am towering 6'4". However everything i have read about any "stacked" set says no pedestal when the dryer is stacked.

It's an attention-getter/conversation piece. And look; it worked! 😀

This stacked set-up holds the promise of laundry without pain.

Is it wrong that I'm getting ridiculously turned on by this?

Super32:

I feel your pain. I'm only 6'0", but I'm riddled with arthritis and in my opinion damn near everything in the world should be 6" further off the floor.

The risers are not recommended to be used on the stacked sets. The weight on them with loads of laundry going is way too heavy to rest on a drawer.

Would think that tall stack on the base would be like a drunk on a Saturday night!VERY UNSAFE!!!!Could see an unbalanced load in the washer-the whole mess comes tumbling down with a BOOM!!!Heaven help anyone who is near it when she Blows!

it is the fumbling idiot at Blowes that knows NOTHING ABOUT setting up/installing an appliance.

Wonder if it took more than ONE "Blowes" idiot to set up that rig!Having that on the sales floor seems like a liability to me-what happened if some child tried to climb on it and the thing fell over?
