Per the timer it appears to have an actual Super Wash cycle.  4 or 2 mins agitation, 2 mins pause, partial drain, continue into Regular.  And notice the * Star in the Off section, that's probably dry agitation.

Nothing i can see on this machine would make me think it's a suds-saver.
Just one waste water hose and no words to that effect on the control panel.

I don't know if DD Whirlpools still had a spot on the timer for the 'dry agitation'/suds return on all models, but older belt-drive ones did for sure.  The 65 Lady K that's giving me attitude again has an unmarked spot on the dial that does this.

WP DD Washer Suds-saver

The star in the off area is the suds return setting, there was an optional kit for this machine that allowed you to have a SSer.

Whirlpool Direct Drive Washers do a good job a cleaning! I technically have a Whirlpool Direct Drive Washer, but I loaned it to a friend whose washer broke, and needed one until their washer was fixed (my friend got a new washer, and told me they put it into storage until I came to get it). It was from 1996, and it did an amazing job at cleaning towels! The only thing it did not have was the partial drain on the super wash cycle, but it still did a good job.

thee 1970 Kenmore 800 had a dry agitation spot between end of Knit/Delicate and Enzyme soak cycle and so did the 1986 Lady Shredmore between delicate and soak.  Both agitated at gentle speed.
