New to this site so I hope I am posting in the correct place; apologies if not. Can anyone help with more info on the dishwasher we inherited when moving into our new house? It is a Kenmore, model number 363.1441590 but that is about all I know. The house was built in the 60's (and a lot of the fixtures are original I think (tiny vintage Kohler vanity in the master bathroom, what I think are cast iron baths, Westinghouse cooktop) but I think this may be from the late 80's or early 90's. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This was a dishwasher produced by GE for Sears in the mid to late 1980s.

Its closest GE cousin would be a GSD900 or GSD950.   Although an interior shot might help me pinpoint a bit more.

Rebadged GE

This is a GE made Kenmore from the late 80's. Sears sold these as a lower cost alternative to the much superior Ultra Wash machines made by Whirlpool. It should work ok for normal soiled dishes, heavy soils your mileage may very.

Kenmore Dishwasher

Thank you both for your responses. I haven't tried to run it yet as we are about to have a new kitchen installed, although it worked when the house was inspected. Not sure what to do with it really.

I have added some interior shots; appnut, do these help?

Thanks again

Thank you.  Yes, helps very much.  That has the  Super upper rack rather than the standard upper rack.  This is more like a GSD1000 with that upper rack.  There were some new houses built behind me in 1987 and 1988 that had Hotpoint appliances.  This dishwasher's interior base looks more "Hotpoint"ish than the GE comparable with a nicer filter system.  So, I'd say 1986-1989 was when it was produced.

You will definitely find that out when you turn it on.

My parent's previous house they had built in 1992 had GE appliances, and the dishwasher looked just about the same as this, especially the control panel. From what I remember the interior was similar as well.

I don't remember my mom running it much but I seem to recall her saying it did a pretty good job.

I can't see any rear mounted filter. How strange.
