This was the golden age of GE filter flo washers. The tub was solid, but was a little larger than some others. It washed, rinsed and spun out quite well and the filter was good for picking up some lint and animal hair too. GE had not yet made the perforated tub machines with the mini basket and ramped spiral agitator that seem to be popular with many.

I believe all of the solid tub Filter-flo machines were beautifully styled for sure!  But the 1958, with it's dark blue on the console, in turquoise is absolutely stunning.  If it were up to only me, there would be one of these in the MOMA.
