Is it even possible to put a full size Whirlpool Surgilator agitator on a Whirlpool/Kenmore portable?

Have you ever compared the sizes of the two Surgilators and the diameter of the portable's tub versus the diameters of the Surgilators? There is barely room in the portable's tub for the agitator that belongs in it.
