This early/mid 60's TOL GE washer had the innovative "mini basket" that became as well known as the "Filter flo" system GE already had. These were good machines, although water hogs and this same design, with a few modifications, lasted GE up until the mid 90's. My parents bought a GE washer in 1963 when the old Norge needed yet another repair. The Norge gas dryer then caught fire, due to the lint build up in back and they bought the "premier" gas dryer that matched the washer. The Norge dryer was a MUCH better and faster dryer.

Another great-looking, well-lit, tall console, too. That and the bulk liquid bleach dispenser. I'd have used that. These early mini-baskets look a bit smaller (not as deep, maybe) than the ones from the 1970s.
