I ordered a SQ gas dryer (27" with mechanical controls), but they're on back-order. I can cancel the order without penalty, but I want to shop for best price.

Here's the model number:

ADG3SRGS113TW01

I only need the dryer, ie not the exhaust vent or gas line.

I'm looking for new, ie not open box or dented.

I'm in California, so I'm trying to buy from out of state to avoid sales tax. Price is the priority, not delivery date. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Sticking with your initial order.
If you ever expect to get easy warranty service, buy local!

Save your money and get a nice Whirlpool dryer. They really are the best. My gas dryer lasted me 20+ years and 1 repair. Dries fast. I got rid of i because I needed a matched set at the time. Or at least I thought I did. Seriously. Whirlpool. I have the speed queen. It's a good dryer but not great for what you pay.

Best price on a new Speed Queen dryer

Just shop for price, you may get a better price if you agree to pay cash pick up the appliance yourself and possibly install it yourself. Other than that there's not gonna be a lot of difference.

Speed Queen makes an excellent very ruggedly built dryer that it's easy to repair, the Whirlpools are also good dryer's but not nearly as sturdy.

I would also consider the Speed Queen dryer with electronic control, the timer on the basic one is kind of funky

If you are trying to "buy out of state to avoid sales tax..." won't you be paying a lot more than the sales tax for shipping???

And what's wrong with open box?  (quite often, nothing)

a lot of times, you think your saving on sales tax....

and there are places that if shipped to another state, YOUR state tax will be added to the cost....

we have that here across the border into Delaware.....if your buying some items from someplace like Walmart or ShopRite, its tax free like everyone else.....

BUT.....if your buying something like a TV or Dryer, and your name and address is printed on any sort of sales receipt, again YOUR state's sales tax is added.....and especially if your using a Debit/Credit car to purchase...cash sales on something like this is included as well.....

the only way around most of it, is if you have a relative living in that state, and they make the purchase for you......

don't be surprised, they are watching for this stuff....

I'll get only free shipping.

I can install myself.

Any ideas about companies outside of CA that ship for free?

My partner wants new, not open box/floor model
