CMT 21 oven

Excellent oven you can't get a better cooking oven then one of these, and no messy oven gasket and It vents outdoors to boot.

These were two to $3000 when new

Stacked... for convenience

If I knew what my future kitchen layout would be, I'd jump all over this (the oven, I mean).

These pop up in Phoenix all the time in the $50-$250 price range. I've come across several models from the 70s and 80s out here. Always wanted one. Like John said--pricey when new. They were "THE" thing to have back then. If my kitchen were just 2 feet longer, I'd have one in there already!

Interesting that the little knobs on the clock controls look exactly like those on our 1964 Martha Washington wall oven.

To answer the OP's question....

Friends had this same oven for years before remodeling and installing the newer version of the same thing when they remodeled.

The upper oven is a combination regular / microwave oven, which can be used as either, or both at the same.   As I recall they said it wasn't a high power microwave, around 700 watts(?).  Both ovens are also self-cleaning.  It's pretty high-end, Thermador is really good stuff!
