Hey I'm looking for a Maytag a700 and DE701 dryer or similar in the color of pink. Was just wondering if anyone has one or both for sale. Thank you.

Hello Jason....and welcome to the club.....
well, unfortunately you just missed a pink dryer that was advertised for sale.....yeah, it was just the dryer, but would have been a start.....you never know, things pop up all the time.....we all wish for them in our backyard locations, but sometimes we have to travel or have them shipped.....its all part of the adventure..... as for the valve, heres a link to a past thread.....apparently there is a part number change that will yield a replacement valve...... I think there is also a rebuild kit available too..... CLICK HERE TO GO TO Yogitunes's LINK |

Hey thanks yogitunes. Yeah I actually seen that dryer on eBay and have been watching it. But decided against getting it because it would've been a 2000 mile round-trip for me. But I almost did Bid on it. |

Kenny's set is a great starting point, and the dryer can be converted to electric if you are so inclined. While they aren't a 700 series set, the 142 is what the 700 became.
There is also another pink set that may be for sale soon, and not too far up in Minnesota, that has been restored. Good luck! Ben |

I have a dryer like Kenny Goatfarmers that is nearly restored [ already done mechanically, belts, front seals, cleaned and reassembled ] I was in the process of converting to electric ignition, the parts are all here that I want to get rid of [ found another MT HOH dryer for the museum and do not need two.
I don't want any more than the parts I put into it.
I also have a top and lid for a pink MT washer like Kenneys that you can have.
You or someone else please contact me otherwise when I have time I am going to just take the good parts from the dryer and scrap to rest.
