This sink is definitely a dish-washing device, and it's definitely vintage, so I'm hoping the moderators will look on my Thread with kindness even tho the sink is not an automatic dish-washing device.
Can anyone help with a seller's I.D. for this sink? I had it re-porcelained to match my Chambers 90-C stove, which is also light blue. If you look at the pictures, the backsplash has indentations and mounting holes for what to my eye looks like two decorative panels with a maker's badge between them. If I could get pictures of an original sink I could more easily fabricate the decorative panels. My idea is to fabricate them in solid copper and then get them nickel plated. Or maybe someone has a parts-sink they'd sell the panels and badge. You never know unless you ask. |

An apartment I rented years ago had a very similar sink in a Youngstown cabinet. But a plain back guard and did have the sprayer hole. As far as dish washing, my old Lady Kenmore on normal wash would not fill that sink to the top for the whole cycle. Dont anyone tell me dishwashers use way too much water.

I'm assuming your sink is enameled steel and not cast iron - is that correct? |

Yes, it's stamped steel. Jeff at I.P.E. in Independence, Mo. did the sky blue porcelain. He told me why he didn't do cast iron--he said originally, when the cast iron sinks were done at the original manufacturer, they used some sort of filler to smooth out the cast iron surface before they enameled it. And Jeff said he doesn't have access to the filler, so they won't do cast iron.
Here's a before picture of my sink:
