The three buttons to the right of the dial are throwing me off.  Could it be an early A806, or is it a suds saver?

I didn't post in SS because I'm just curious, and I doubt there's any interest from locals even at $65.

three buttons....PermPress, Normal, Gentle...

basically one cycle, but ran a program.....pre-selected speeds by the button pushed...

PermPress.....fast wash, slow spin....don't know if the Cool Down was added in

Normal........fast wash, fast spin

Gentle........slow wash, slow spin

Thanks --

So the four buttons on the right are for load size, indicating the larger tub, correct?  Would this machine be like a 406/7 then, or an early 606?

If they had added one more button labeled "Bulky Items" that did a slow wash and fast spin, it would rival an 806.  I could manage with the pre-set rinse temps.

well if anything, very close to a 606.....always liked the pilot light...

and yes, the largest capacity.....

note on the one you posted, one side was a full cycle, the other was a long Automatic Soak

as on Mike's, one cycle, suds return, pre-wash and an auto-soak......

never understood why they put the pre-wash before the soak....instead of two separate items, it could have been incorporated....Soak, and then pre-wash near the end of that cycle.....or as most did, Pre-Wash was part of the normal cycles Rinse/Spin.....

as on mine, when in Suds Return, the timer doesn't move...

Seems like the subject machine isn't a model we commonly see.

There are more variations to the CD machines than I thought!

This is a fabric-matic 407/408.  Extended soak and wash cycles.

With the 3 temperature options, I would say that is an A407.

What's the solid section on the timer dial at 11:00?

Thanks again Bob.  It looks like a larger "OFF" zone on the 407 dial than on the pictured 806.  I swear I'm having more senior moments lately, considering the 806 picture should have provided a big hint.
