I am working on my Frigidaire unimatic wo-65-2 and I was wondering how to get the pulsator out of the machine. Also the tub has some surface rust on the inside and I was wondering what I could do about it because I am not crazy about leaving my clothes rub against rust. |

Though I known nothing that could help you, I'd like to express my thanks that you are working to preserve this machine, and admiration that you have the persistence to do so. |

I am putting this washer in my basement to do laundry with. I would really like to know what to do about the rust because I do not want it to get all over my clothes. Also I want to stop any possible rust that could create a hole in the tub. Thanks, Jesse |

I use that stuff in my auto collision repair class. Have Lacquer thinner handy and if you get the POR-15 on you, wipe it with the thinner. Also use the worst clothes you have. Lacquer thinner works to a lesser extent on fabric but make sure you leave your clothes to evaporate a while before you consider washing them. You want to make sure that there isn't any residue that could catch fire in the dryer.

POR-15 is about the best there is for coating rust. It will not stick for long to intact porcelain, it literally peels right off as it needs bare metal to bond with properly.
I use a small artist type brush sold in multipacks in the kid's art supplies, then toss it when finished. Wear latex, etc. gloves when using, easy clean up, no chemicals. |
