The last

Estate Stove Company design, A REAL high quality range, Under the griddle is a GIANT TK Monotube about 12 or more inches across that is perfect to can on.

An awesome range, and this one appears to be in great shape. Tell tale signs include that you can see the Whirlpool/Estate star emblem burner caps, inside what appear to be the original elements, and the gold color finish trim on the dash and the casing around the oven doors does not appear to be worn off. These ranges light up beautifully and have radio dial tuning to the heat levels. And a great price for someone within transport distance... or the perfect present for under the Christmas tree!

This is a treasure that was babied

It is ironic how many gas ranges offered a griddle with a burner with a brain to heat it, but once the set temperature was reached, the flame went down and the corners of the griddle cooled. Only this electric design, along with the Chambers' U-shaped burner managed to have even heat distribution over the entire cooking surface throughout the cooking operation.

Did any brands other than WP and Philco use the square-round trim rings?

I dont think so

Philco used them several years.

I agree with both of you that Whirlpool and Philco are the only electric ranges with the squared off circle design burner, both in the mid fifties.

Has anyone ever actually seen or owned one of these. Wonder what happened to this model or if someone
at this site got it.
