Hello all! New member here but long time member of vacuumland! I dont think ive got the washing machine collection bug yet, but who knows, I might! However, I am after a washing machine, single or paired with dryer, that utilizes the filter that pours water over the washing tub. My grandmother had one that may have been 70s or 80s, black and white (no idea on brand) that cleaned the heck out of clothing and had a lint trap you pulled out to clean lint from the brush bristles in it. I love my newer 90s Whirlpool I have but you just cant beat the old machines. Im pretty handy so between me and this site I feel confident I could repair and keep one running. Are there Indiana members here that may have one to sell or know of where I could get one? Thanks very much!

I have an avocado Whirlpool, doesn't have the filter you want. I also have a GE Spotscrubber, again a different style of filter. The GE has the matching dryer with it. Any interest, let me know. About 2 hours away.

RickR lives in the Fort, maybe he knows of something.

Thank you for the reply. I may be interested in the GE spot scrubber. I will reach out to that remember that you mentioned as well. 1950s

The lint trap with brush bristles sounds like a Whirlpool or Kenmore system.
