The "Sound Advice" column by Don Lindich in today's paper sings the praises of the Speed Queen washers with analog knobs and dials and a paragraph on the back of each one just as they and their old-school washing system have disappeared from the market forever.  He should probably stick to reporting on new school stuff.

well reporters make mistakes. Even the one who said early on after the train wreck in Olympia Washington Monday before last was only traveling 18 m.p.h. It was the news channel highest up on the cable channels also, believe it or not. I was in a tire store waiting room watching it. I know what I heard, and the lady in there with me said no way those train cars went off into the woods like that at such low speed.
Z snap!
