I apologize.  I originally posted and incorrectly stated ( See Thread 73962 of 1/6/2018)  that I have a Kenmore Special Edition washing machine.  Correctly so, the washer is a Kenmore Limited Edition not (Special).  Not sure if that makes a difference, but there it is.  Still seeking assistance and guidance in doing what I understand will be a complete teardown of the washer in order to bring her back to 100%.

The basic mechanics would be the same as other Kenmores from the same period -- and even older ones.  Not a whole lot changed over the years.  There's probably an old thread with pictures and step-by-step documentation, but it would take some digging to find it.

A great guide to rebuilding a WP/KM belt drive is one of Robert's original restoration guide from many moons ago. While it is regarding a '57 Kenmore, the basics stayed the same up until the very end.

I also documented the rebuild of a '59 Kenmore.

I'm sure there are other posts that you could dig up in the archives. Or look for any post from Gordon (Kenmoreguy64).
