It's the first time I see one like this. I have some RCA service manuals but I don't recall seeing a wringer in them.

It sure looks like the design stopped evolving sometime in the 50s for that machine, as I guess did most wringer washers, but this one is conspicuously lacking style and looks low on safety features.
