That last Neptune pair is the Samsun produced Neptunes, which put the final nails in the coffin for Neptunes.

Maytag was in decline before they rolled out the defectively engineered Neptune but it was their poor response to the problem and lack of customer support tha killed them off forcing a sale and closure of the Newton Iowa plant. At the right price, they're a nice pice and parts and kits available to make them better than new.

.
All those prices are way too high imo. Much better washer deals to be had 'round here in my experience.

I've grown to seriously distrust washers made with electronic brains.  Give me the old mechanical dial washers any day.

I have one of those Samtag/Maysung "Neptunes" and paid $70 for 2 years ago.

THE GOOD: It (surprisingly) works well and doesn't waste a lot of time ramping up to spin speeds.
>> When filling, water pours through the tub/door boot onto the garments (ala KM & WP).
>> It has an easily adjustable water level switch!
>> It handles large (heavy) loads of towels very easily.

THE BAD: when it fills, it's either hot OR cold, never both at the same time. Meaning if you select "warm", it fills with cold for a while, then continues filling with hot until the water level switch is satisfied.
>> it only ramps up to full RPM for the final spin, not between wash/rinses.
