I've been trying to get a hold of them but they will not respond to my texts and they didn't answer the phone when I called. I would go get them in a heartbeat if they would get back with me. I only live five hours away .

Here's a couple pictures of them. They definitely need some work. But I only paid 50 bucks for them both. There is some dirt down in the drum but it seems to be in pretty good shape.

.
Great score.
I think I like the looks of that generation of Maytag better than what followed...sunny yellow being my favorite.

Congrats! They both look great!

I don’t have a ton left, but if you’re looking for some early Maytag items, shoot me a PM. I’m just up the road.

Shined up like a new penny!

Congrats on these beautiful machines, Maytag had a very rich turquoise shade.

This set in turquoise was my first vintage washer dryer purchase in 1991, $10 each.  The washer had broken glass so I went to the Maytag distributor and ordered new from the factory.  $19 for the pair.

Thanks.I also got the wall oven. He told me I could have it for free because they were just going to throw it away.

When the weather warms up a little bit I will get them all tore down and repainted. Maybe one of these days I will be able to find a yellow set and Coppertone set and this style. I would then have one of each color. Here's a couple pictures I pulled off of Google images which are actually from this site LOL.

Wow only $10 each.

Wow only $10 each.that's an incredible deal. I had a similar experience when I bought my first set. It was a little newer than the blue set, probably 1978 or so. But I was at an auction and when the auctioneer got to the set no one was bidding on it. So I bid on it and got the set for 20 bucks. They both worked fine and I use them for quite a few years after that. They had the lit consuls also. They were probably top of the line. They were Allmond color
