I had no problem getting a valve for my kds-17 which is the ultimate dishwasher.Your serviceman lied to you that certainly can be fixed. |

Thank you everyone for your advice. My partner purchased the replacement valve and installed it, and the squealing has stopped! Hoping that nothing that else will go wrong, and that the machine will continue to perform for many more years. |

Its not likely that the new valve is the problem, the water level in the DW when it is done filling in the main wash should almost cover the top of the SS filter.
If not check out your plumbing to the inlet valve, make sure there are no kinks in the supply plumbing, and that the water supply is turned on completely. If WL is ok check to see if lower arm is turning easily [ also make sure the arm is installed with the holes pointing up ] believe it or not I have seen the lower wash arm installed upside-down. |
