That person is going to be sorry after those are gone. I had that washer and it was a great machine. Completely versatile when it comes to cycles and options. If the the only thing is a lid switch replacement....that's easy enough to take care of.

As far as the dryer.....the one fin should be replaced since it has those chips out of it along the fins edge.

Overall, nice set.

I don't think its a lid switch issue....if that was a broken lid switch, it would not spin at all.....

what he has here is a timer/control board issue, not pausing to shift into spin...

I too had this set in 1988, and had this same issue, you had to SLAM the lid down to get it to spin....first they replaced the voltage regulator, it worked for a while, then did it again, then the boards had to be replaced, worked fine from there on...

I had two of these sets, 1988 and 1995.....there were pros and cons to both, but I liked the 88 a little bit better

There's a host of lid issues out there. At least you could release yours to make it work!

For $100, that would be gone around here.
