Looking at today's Picture of today, it is an ad for Kenmore washers and dryers. What I would like to know if these are Canada's Simpson Sears washers and dryers as they have the side swing doors on the dryers. I think the side swing doors were either never offered on USA Kenmores or if they were, they must have been a rare machine with this door. I don't recall ever seeing one on a USA Kenmore dryer. Thanks

Doug

Interesting observation. One main difference between Canadian made Whirlpools/Kenmore/Inglis washers are the front base bottom. The indented base is larger on the Canadian washers than than the US models..this was common for all Canadian model to the late 70's. I don't recall Canadian Kenmore washer ever having Vari-Flex agitators? I might learn something new.

While Kenmore in the US had a different cabinet than Whirlpool, the Kenmore models in Canada used the same cabinet as Inglis/Whirlpool. However, the tops were the same as on the US Kenmore. The lower embossing on the Canadian models was the same as the late 50's Whirlpools, as it probably didn't make economic sense to retool for the newer style.

Wow, SUDS-SAVER available in Avocado & Copper, too! Definitely more "North of the Border" than any US of America Product...

Where can I get this at? Who has one?
