These look promising. Anyone know anything about them?

Cool, no door boot.

That's the feature I like the most about Asko.  No boot on the front to contend with.  I've never had any issues with my front seal in 21 years.  I wish all manufacturers would do this for home machines.  If you see an "Asko" machine that has a front boot, it was NOT built by Asko (Samsung I think).

Hope you get the chance to get a set Malcolm, had my original Asko built set since 2001 and washing great , the recent decade saw Asko bought out by Antonio Merloni, this time also saw the most problems with the Scandinavian designed brand, and problems ensued. Im recent years it was bought by Gorenje (pronounces Gor-En-Ya) from Slovenia, again a brand built with expertise and a solid design history.

Gorenje are placing Asko as their premium brand hence what you see, the machines are the great standard design , Quattro suspension and no door seal, rather a water tight door on the tub, like the first Bendix.

Do like the look of these ultra smart models, be nice to see a full range Titanium Set with pull out shelves and ironing boards, pity they don't now make the drying cabinet to match !!

Hi Alex

Had a man from AW personally fly in from Minneapolis to London with it (Cheers Don ) whereupon Alistair collected it and deposited in said washroom....

Its currently residing with Mikey Matic while he tests it out....back in the new washroom shortly.

Great stuff, no suds, rinses clear in first rinse....Here we are testing in Richards new Miele W1 Classic...

I really wish I could find the old style Askos like chestermikeuk's set! Far nicer than the newer machines - they remind me of the old 60s/70s AEGs.

What Bendix lacked a door boot? Never seen one, unless you're referring to the old bolt-down machines.
