Beautiful set. However, they are newer than 1960. Definitely not original to their 1960 house. More like late 60's, possibly early 70's. Someone else can probably give the exact year.

This has been posted before, I think.  The ad is over a month old; I thought someone here had gotten them....

These are 1970 models. I do remember seeing these before at least in one other thread. This model would have a white tub, but the one here looks darker, like the speckled kind. Either that or it has seen a lot of hard water, and has rust. I have low vision so I am not sure. Hopefully they find a home where someone will enjoy them.

Have a good one,
James

Kenmore Set

Those would be 1972-73 with the plasic tub ring and still the chrome doorhandles.Very nice, blue speckle basket. The dials light up also.Excellent set for somebody.

Thanks for clearing up the mystery for me on the tub color. Odd that it would have the blue basket, given that this model is a 70 series, which always had the white one

These are earlier than 1972, as the last year of the metal handles is 1971. Also, the tub ring appears to be the metal one. Plastic ones did not come out until 1973. Another sign of them being an earlier year is that if you look at both tub shots in the Craigslist photos, there is no hole in the lid well for a lid switch, which leads me to believe this washer has the hidden mercury one. 1970 was the last year of the mercury type switch.
