We are buying another house and moving, we have been waiting for everything to get settled but the deal has been made, Here is what happened, Dons Dads cousin died the week before Thanksgiving,He had 3 daughters who all asked if we didn't want to buy their Dads house...Well...its about twice as big as our present house with 4 large storage buildings,2 acres in the middle of a 200 acre family farm, a simply beautiful place, We didn't think we could afford such a place, But since Donald is family, and no one but family lives on that land, they made us a deal we couldn't refuse, It has taken a while as the estate had to be settled and the land re surveyed, but finally we are ready to begin, We will now have room to organize and display our appliances and Donalds Christmas lights,So that's whats been going on the last few months. This house is about 2 miles from where we now live. And in the kitchen is a beautiful 1965 Frigidaire 40 inch range!

Good for you Hans and Donald. I hope that the move goes smoothly and that you’ll be very happy in your new home. Congratulations on getting a good deal, though it’s too bad that someone had to pass on for it happen, but better that it stays in the family.

Corngratulations!

Will you be able to have both your Westinghouse and the Frigidaire in the kitchen? Two 40 inch ranges come in so handy for heavy baking and at canning time.

Have fun!

I plan to use both, but the Westinghouse is a 30,

The laundry room is right behind the kitchen,so one will be put out there, I love the Westinghouse but the Frigidaire looks like brand new.

Wow - the place sounds wonderful Hans.  Extra storage is always needed when large vintage appliances are involved and I'll bet there will be an outstanding display spot for Donald's Christmas lights!  Congratulations and keep us posted - can't wait to see pictures!!

Congratulations, Hans and Donald! Moving your collections will be a big undertaking, but how wonderful that you'll have plenty of space for all of it at the new homestead.

What fun news for Spring, congratulations to you both. The moving process I don't envy, but the reward will be well worth the work. Hope it all goes smoothly and you enjoy the new place.

I keep checking to see if any photos are posted. An aerial video would be nice, something like the beginning of the old Dynasty series with the same music.

"the old Dynasty series..."

Maybe it looks more like Southfork Ranch, Dallas.

And on that thought, who is going to be Miss Ellie?
