Nice work.
Would black be the original color? Seems unlikely.

I know the store that sells it...

Antique Stove Heaven. They have two stores in the area, one at Pacific Coast Highway and hoter a few blocks away from home at Western Blvd. Darryl and I visited the store a few days ago only to fall in love with each one of the over 50 stoves they have in their inventory.

The store is great and the restorarion work they do is very impressive. All the stoves look like brand new and 100% original, except for the safety updates, like the automatic gas cut off if the flame fails or there's an earthquake and replacing pilot flames by automatic electric igniters.

Unfortunately too expensive for my budget and too big for my kitchen (not this black one), otherwise I wouldn't think twice before getting one of those huge O'keeffe & Merritt or a 1920's Magic Chef that has a zillion of ovens.

They were starting to restore a (i don't remember the brand) exactly the same stove that Darryl's grandmother had and a Frigidaire flair.

Oh, and they don't "repaint" the stoves. They sand blast and redo the porcelain as it was made originally.
