I need help locating my first washing machine. It was a Kenmore 80 series, model number 110.28822790. I have included the pic below which should help identify it.

I appreciate everyone's help in AW for helping me track this down.

I just picked one up very similar to what you have there. Mine is a 110.24722300 and it's a 2005 model. So yours is probably a bit newer than mine, maybe one of the last DD's made if I read correctly. You can enter the model and serial number on this website and date it.

I'll be posting a breakdown of the differences between the late model Kenmore DD's vs the earlier ones soon. I have a 1990 and a 2005. Although the core direct drive mechanism is essentially the same, there are otherwise quite a few differences between the two. The later model unit is definitely cheaper made.

Thanks for the reply Spin-Doctor. Mine is actually older. I believe 1997-1998 ish is when mine was manufactured.

I look forward to your differences breakdown. That will be interesting to see and read.

.
These are great.
I buy them every chance they show up at a good price.
Clean them up and send them back into the world.
Got a pair for sale right now...the TOL model with all the switches.

Btw the dryer needs ink stains removed, any ideas?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am really trying to locate the exact model. I know it will not be easy but can be done. I did confirm the machine would have been manufactured between 1997 and 1998.
