Just returned with my first Frigidaire washer. It is Model WAN serial 73VD6998. Cleaned the machine inside and out. Checked the hoses, replaced the water inlet valve. Did the hot water test. It agitated and spun the water out. Everything passed with flying colors. I was doing the third load and I noticed that the washer's timer would not advance in the overflow rinse portion of the cycle. Finished the load manually and left alone the timer will not advance at any function. My best guess is the timer motor is burned out. Can I just replace the timer motor or am I looking at the whole timer. And if that is true, where do I even start looking for a timer? Help please. I was trying to do everything right and then this. Thanks for any directions and advice. Losangeles

I hope you get that worked out simply. Don't forget, this machine fills on a time basis. You'll have to stay with it to move the dial or you'll have a mess on your hands. Good luck. Jerry Gay |

A picture of your timer would help, FD like many makers used two different timer manufactures, It is either a Mallory or Kingston. The Mallory is mostly metal and the Kingston is mostly black Bakelite plastic. The Mallory timers were know for bad timer motors, in either case remove the timer motor from the main timer case and plug the washer back in and set for the final spin and watch to see if the little gear on the TM turns. If not you just need a TM, if not you probably need a complete timer assembly.
