Does anyone know what model this may be? The seller isnt the most co operative person he just wants it gone. Is it a large capacity machine like my A407? He says it runs good an d doesnt leak water. Its about an hour from me. Thinking of buying and going through it as a back up machine. Thanks.

This is an A207, std. capacity true 2-speed.

Yeah, small tub, standard capacity.

Price is right but a long drive for a lower end machine in well used condition.

Good for parts or a back up washer as mentioned, but not worth putting a lot of work into.

Bob, are you sure this is an A207, I have one and it only has 3 water temperature options; Cold/Cold, Warm/Cold, and Hot/Warm?

It looks like a nice machine. I'd go after it.

Thanks for all the replies. If its an A207 is it really a big difference load wise? I usually run my A407 on large loads because the extra large setting takes that much more time to empty and come up to speed before rinse comes in and suds locks it. If its an A208 is that a larger capacity machine? The price is right on it though.

I think 207 and 208 will have the same tub size.  If you're using the "large" setting on the 407, the "large" setting on a 207/208 will give you the same thing, only with a full tub.

Presuming the timer increments are the same on the 207 and 407, a full fill on a 207 should drain as quickly as a "large" fill on your 407.

I get the same suds lock problem with my deep tub A712 sometimes as it ramps up for spin and during the spray rinse, but load size has nothing to do with it.  Just today I washed some funky items on the lowest fill setting and it still suds locked going into the spray rinse.

hi , where I'm at these Center dial older tags are harder to find in good condition like the one your looking at. This washer looks good outside looks clean I'd take it home and tune it up a little , should be fine as a back up washer or a cool keepsake for the man cave!

The price is right on it though.

Offer $25 when you get there, he'll probably be grateful someone actually showed up and is willing to take it off his hands, but don't tell him where you're coming from or you had to drive an hour to get there.

Blue panel center dials are certainly getting rare. Gold panels pop up more often. The first off center dial models are still fairly plentiful. A testament to Maytag durability.

For $35 it is not often worth the sellers time to jump through hoops to sell a used appliance, If I really want something I offer a reasonable amount of money during the first conversation, otherwise there may not be a followup conversation.

If you really want this machine it is worth somewhere between $75-150.

$75 - $150 for a 40 year old std capacity washer???  I'd never pay that much, maybe $50 at most.

Uh-oh, better get after him before he says he was out of town and his brother dumped it.

Here is a nice A612 matched set in your neck of the woods.

Probably gone by now if legit, but would be a good score at that price.
