Sears sold this style dryer to go with any washer the homeowner might already have. They offered this model from circa 1969 to circa 1973 in various configurations. Sears offered it with the full width hamper door as well as the mini hamper door (as seen in the photo above), with Electronic Sensor Drying as well as Fabric Master Automatic Drying, and in both gas and electric versions. When I was growing up two of our neighbors had the model that is in the picture above, Mrs. Sample's was electric and Mrs. Catchings was gas. Both the dryers had Fabric Master Automatic Drying and an Air Fluff cycle but no temperature selection. The lint screen is interesting in the fact that you pull it out of the dryer by grabbing the handle under the cycle dial. It is not under a hinged lid like on most Kenmore dryers of the time. Both Mrs. Catchings and Mrs. Sample had them for quite sometime and they were quite sturdy dryers if I remember correctly. PAT COFFEY
