Control panel won’t stay on. When a button is selected it lights up but once the digital button is released the power turns off. Can someone tell me if they’ve experienced the same problem and how they fixed it.

That's a great looking dryer , I wish I knew more about the electronic touch panels but I myself am still learning how they can be repaired. Did you try opening up the back panel to see inside the control box and look for anything burnt out? It's worth the effort only thing I can think of or maybe something came unplugged or loose from the board.best of luck

....control panel to me.

I have the 1987 Limited Edition set and have had no problems with the electronic controls for either the washer or the dryer.

Maybe try the "computer fix-all" trick - pull the power plug, wait 1 minute, re-plug and try again?

Not sure if these particular machines have it or not but underneath the push buttons is a "membrane". Its what actually responds to the push of the button and sends it back to the control. It's possible that has simply worn out. I know Speed Queen uses these on their commercial line.
