Nice looking set. Those GM/Frigidaire 1-18's are really starting to grow on me. That is what those are, correct? If you wanted to pretty much completely rebuild both of those units, would you be able to source all the parts? |

Hi Tyler, Congrats on another fine 1-18 set. I think 1-18's are truly underrated. These sets really cleaned anything and everything quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. And who can argue against that fantastic spray spin! I never had a set that had any major problems. One thing that I always did to improve drying time was to replace the front and rear felt drum seals and rollers at the same time. Use plenty of syl-glide and she will run smoothly for years. I used my 1978 WIC-A & DECI set as daily drivers for years. Of course one day I hope to find a 1979 WEG & DEEG Elite set and would give anything for one. Best wishes, Rich

Tonight doing a small load of towels the agitator sounded like it was going to take off into orbit. Really loud. On gentle it was fine. Any suggestions???? |
