I vaguely think I read somewhere, of someone with an elderly Bosch machine, where there was a similar occurrence. The 'spider' attached to the rear of the inner drum had fractured one or more of its three 'legs'. |

See above re: spider. I wouldn't stand in the room while it was going ~1400. We saw last week what 1/22nd imbalance does to a turbine at 10,000RPM. Yes, 7 times faster; also 8000 times as expensive. Just some perspective.
You've got one cracked arm and a lot of flex stress on the remaining 2. If another cracks the load on the last one exceeds its strength and kerblooie. You won't get sucked out the window, but worst case you could have a hole in your wall. |

Thus highly doubt it has become deformed; would take whacking at it with a mallet or something of similar force to do that I should think.
Likely something is broken/wrong with some part of the suspension system (springs and or shock absorbers). This and or as suggested perhaps one of the spiders on rear of outer tub have become damaged. Whatever the reason the wash tub is rising up out of alignment which is the cause of your woes. You can either take off lid and or open front of machine to have a peek, or call out Miele for a service call. Usual cause of out of alignment wash container with Miele is that one or both of the shocks have gone. They are what control movements of tub and when that is weak or missing it often manifests it self in damage you've seen. That is scratches or other marks on glass port hole. |
