I am sure that this error was pointed out before, but if you look closely at today's ad, the bottom rack of this dishwasher has the bowls pointed outward, and not inward toward the spray action. If you tried it, you would see that it would't get those items clean.

KD-17!

Thats an oopsie. Even the top rack saucers arent facing the centre.

I almost picked up a KDS-17 once, but the one arm wonderness of it shyed me away. I regret that.

Doug, yes, this has been brought up before.  The only reason why I think those bowls wouldn't get clean is because their "face" is so close to the tub wall.  But truth be told, I've never had issue with cereals bowls facing like that in my modern dishwashers not getting clean.

Every KA ad I've always seen the top rack have saucers and such  facing only toward the door.  And that's how I've always loaded dishes when I've had to load saucers and cereal bowls in that row (which I consider a waste of real estate space in the top rack) and have never had things not get clean all facing to the door.

In fact, I've looked through every 15 series on forward brochure and owner's manual I've doanloaded here and they all have saucers and cereal bowls facing toward the door going down the center row of top racks.  All facing one direction.

Those bowls may clean better than expected, depending on how much space is between them and the tub wall.  Remember ... hurricane in a box.

Everyone points out the plates/bowls, but I really worry that the *cups* which are nesting together (both in the front-loading and top-loading machines) will not get clean either.

It would be an interesting experiment to see what that 4 way Hydrosweep would do with the angled hole at the end of a couple of the tubes.
