Milnors

Those are beautiful.Just like a giant diving bell bendix. There is a Laundromat nearby that had those and I used to bring my dirty moving blankets to them as part of my Sunday Laundromat tour I used to do.They put on quite a show especially the final spin when it goes into orbit.Thank you for posting these it brought back memories of happier times for me before everything turned to sh**.

If money was no object

I would have one of those in my house, I think one of the best washers ever made, the laundromat in my hometown still has a row of these as well as a few Norge front loaders.

These old bolt down Milnors were the bomb. Back in the day they didn’t have all that junk on the front of the machine. Just a big clamp latch to keep the door shut, a money slot, a hole on top to add product, and the two switches to select wash and rinse temperature. My memory is a bit vague but if I recall correctly one could open the latch during spin and it would just keep going. Not today though. Some silly person or unattended child could be hurt. How fun it would be to find one NIB.

I looked at these and thought, "do they wind up and blow it out GTO?" I mean, a whine is worth the wait.

You're welcome, Mark! They're just cool looking beasts.
