Hey I was wondering if parts should be pulled from some maytag sets at achairty thrift shop I work at. They are from 70s a 104 and 407 I think (long day and short memory) The 104 leaks very bad but looks good, the 407 spun and havent tested water in it (need a lid switch) The dryers are gas and electric and in fair shape. Bot set in white

These will be going to crusher next week or so , Let me know if anyone needs something chaz

Definitely

If I were you, and if you are feeling ambitious, I would recommend that you should save the porcelain tops if they are in good condition, the inner and outer tubs if not rusted, the timers, the knobs, the agitators if they're in good shape, and especially, the clamp that secures the outer tub to its lid, as well as the helical drive transmissions, since the clamps and transmissions are not available anymore. If you collect Maytags, all of the above might be of value to you some day -- and undoubtedly to other club members who like Maytags.

found some more

Well we cleaned out the storage area and found another tag in the corner. We have 3 washers and 2 ryers. I am going to take the 407 (I think thats the #) It looks good and spins.
Ok got a question. I have been paying more attention to tags lately. When did the blue band on the whitre sets come and go to the gold band on the head unit?
