Didn't think any phone company was still offering pulse (rotary) dialing.  Safe bet there's a surcharge for it.

How much again?

Asking $254,000. Even in London, not Toronto?
You can get a house like that for about $125,000 over here. Except in Birmingham or North Royal oak, but London isn't like those.
My parents sold their similar 1,000 sq. ft. house in 1978 for $32,000.
Here, the basement is not included in square footage, even though it has been finished.

No surcharge here for rotary dial phones. They are the only ones that work during a power outage provided they go thru regular telephone lines, not cable or internet based.

I like the moving pictures!  Those bedrooms are killers and the blue one has the hatch for hanging yourself when the decor gets to be too much.

That is the shallowest U-shaped kitchen I have ever seen.  It almost qualifies as a one wall kitchen.  What do you figure is the age on that electric range? What is the brand of the washer? Why does it say 4 pc bathroom? What's the 4th piece, the medicine cabinet or the shower head over the tub or that little shelf doohicky way up high above the toilet's flush spray zone?  Do you notice how often the number eleven appears in the room dimensions? It's sorta freaky.

Thanks!

The washing machine looks like it may be a Signature from Montomery Wards.

Swoon!  I'd move in there in a second!

The washer is most likely an Inglis mid-80s (my best guess).

Love, love, love that kitchen floor and table/chairs!  Also love how the woodwork has been unpainted for all this time.  Very well-preserved house!

It does seem a little high priced.. Here in Sarnia it would probably be in the $150k range. Those realtor pictures always make the rooms seem a lot larger than they are in real life. Basements are not supposed to be counted as sq footage here either. Bell hasn't offered rotary service for many many years now however people who had it, along with people on a party line got to keep thirs. Mom had her rotary service until she moved out in 2012, though I'd gave her a pulse pushbutton phone. My friend has a yellow dial wall phone and is on a party line still.. However he says he hasn't heard the elderly woman (party) on the phone in a few years presuming she moved or died. He pays about $15 month for it.. I gave him a pulse/tone phone as well so he can dial out then switch to tones on automated menus.

London has oodles and oodles of beautiful neighborhoods and Victorian homes.. More probably than I've ever seen in a city of that size. The other half would like to move there but I'm not feeling it. It's landlocked although it has a nice river running through it's not the same as here with a real river, a real lake and beaches, no traffic worries, and close enough to London, metro Detroit and all sorts of places without having to live in them.

Yes, it is about $200,000 US,

and still buys more house here. How are taxes in London?
A friend who has a duplex here in the Shores listed one side for rent two years ago as a "Hidden Gardens in the Whispering Pines" setting. Dramatic. He has no pines, but beechnut trees, red maple bushes, roses, hydrangias, weeping myrtles, etc.
