Hello everybody,
What are your thoughts about speed queen's powerful natural movement of water approach? I want to be optimistic about this new design after seeing videos of these.
I hope speed queen will win new customers as their older fan base left. I am one of the fans who are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I hate to say this and I may get beaten up for it, but I hope and believe it does and will do a better job as time wears on.
What are your thoughts? Thank you for your time.

Not knocking you, but I thought the whole point of a traditional top loader was to use the power of water to move it through the clothes. A rapidly changing direction agitator makes water move like waves.

That last sentence was some sarcasm I stole from the video.

I already said this in the YT comments, but

I think this could be better titled 'The Power of Advertising'.

The old design had more to do with water movement than the new one, the old design forced the water through the clothes acting as a sort of a pump with the agitator, a principle invented by Maytag with their Gyrator agitator. I'd sooner own a Maytag with only the slow speed winding operable, as that moves more water through the fibers than this could ever hope to.

speed queen new agitation sound

I have noticed the new speed queens have a beach sound when the water rapidly changes directions as opposed to the traditional action we've been used to. At first I thought it wasn't working, or wasn't gonna work until I saw Kirk's machine. I hope it continues to get better.

Of course advertising!

It's everything to do with marketing. Every company which has ever thrived has had a marketing and advertising department, or used one outside. The tv show Bewitched portrayed it so well.
Slogans, processes, patents, billboards, commercials, news paper and magazine adds.
I had an uncle who was a metalurgist. Notre Dame and U of M graduate.
Federal Mogul hired him in Ann Arbor back in the 1950's. He developed an alloy process at their R&d lab there, and had it patented. The company did not know what to do with it, so they were going to close down the facility which made the alloy.
He approached his superior, and told him they had no one in the field to sell the process to other manufacturers, that it had many possible uses in metal making, dentistry, etc. So his boss told him, ok, you go out there and sell it. He did it, and kept the plant open. He sold it locally, then in Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, etc. By 1975 he was a vice president. My aunt even got to travel with him. My grandma used to stay at their house and watch their 7 kids, well 5 once the two eldest daughters were in college.

New SQ TL Washers Doing Better Over Time ????

Yes your clothes will get a little cleaner every time you wash them, the trick is you can't wear them in between washing's because then they will keep getting dirtier, I guess most folks will just have to replace their clothing after a few months, LOL

kirk's video

I've seen Kirk's video of the Tr7 on the super soiled cycle. What matters to me is that they get clean. Prime example: soiled jeans
